Re: Every Dog Has His Day

I think that any cat worth its salt would consider the whole notion of "Singularity" to be (sniff) entirely superfluous. Why, a cat, in and of itself, is already a "Singularity".

Ahem, you may now serve me my tuna.

Re: Coloring Pages 6 and 7

Oo! Oo! Vola-skeleton doing a Halloween dance with rubber-Vola!

EDIT: ... to the tune of Billy Idol's "Dancing With Myself". Oh oh uh-oh!

(Somebody please stop me! ;-) )

Re: Every Dog Has His Day

This was utterly awesome! (SQUIRREL!!) Thought-form of a wag-wag-wag. Edit: I've just got to say, the image of all those Ascended, Post-Singularity, Uber-Doggie entities cocking their cute, eager virtualized doggie heads (no doubt wrinkling their virtualized doggie brows and perking their floppy vir...

Re: Coloring Pages 6 and 7

Are these the thought-forms in which the characters manifest themselves, within the post-Singularity ether, after the Min-Yan harvest their atmas out of Trys space-time?

Re: Earth-to-Mars in 39 days

The key then is to get nuclear power from space. Ah, but you'd have to have a few thousand Belter gravel-jacks out there hopping nickel-iron asteroids for ore ... oops, chicken-and-egg!

I would think they would be evidence that whatever power he had, it was clean and even and measured, without any sudden corrupting increases. ;-)

There is only one word to describe the UK at this point in history, and it's a word from Over There:

Well if the Moon doesn't work, you could always just ship it out to Jupiter and dump it into the Jovian atmosphere.

Er ... except that 2010: Odyssey 2 comes to mind.

Re: Tale Without a Name

I haven't read it by now, but I will! Thanks, I appreciate it Anna. I hope you enjoy it! ^v^ Although I have to warn you that I gave some of the characters (mostly peasants) a kind of thick, vaguely backwoods-hick American dialect, so I may have made it especially difficult for you. I'm worried tha...

Re: Tale Without a Name

The illustrations are already public domain so there's no problem there. I included them for fun, but I wouldn't be surprised if a publisher would want to commission more modern replacements. The copyright for the original is still owned by Delta's family and Hestia Publishing in Greece until 2011 (...

Tale Without a Name

Hi folks, I'm in the process of putting the final touches on my English translation of Tale Without a Name ( Παραμύθι Χωρίς Ὄνομα ) a young-adult novel originally written 100 years ago, in Greek, by Penelope Delta (1874-1941). My current avatar, as well as the one I used in the old forum, came from ...

Relee this is a fascinating premise, except that you're overlooking something big: tissue rejection. Any scenario that involves wholesale recycling and transplantation of body parts between individuals slams up against the fact that our immune systems have evolved for millions of years to zero in on...
