My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

If it's something you watch or hear or read, this is the general grab-bag for it.

The Explorer has a search function, not a very satisfying one, but it works.
And there are some special software for this in the web. (use Open Source)
What kind of file, *BMP, *TIF, *JPG,*GIF etc? What year?
Use Irfan View to have a first look onto them...
I'm always searching for files, especially pictures, bitmaps, and I've got not much less of external harddrives.
It's funny to find some pic's from the mid-nineties. (Hey, I really did this? Oh my, what a shame!)
Have fun.

From what I understand, that was intended to isolate the pony threads from /co/'s ambient... /co/-ness.

Poke around YouTube for "pony thread simulator" videos for a taste of what this move is supposed to prevent.

My wife Ginny is among the /co/mrades who were feeling overwhelmed by the pony flood. It was hard to discuss anything else without getting derailed by ponies. I think she actually gave up on 4chan because of it; I haven't seen her visit recently. I wonder if she'll go back now.

Maybe it's mutual, then, because the Pony threads themselves apparently got consistently derailed with... stuff.

Stuff involving deviant sexuality, which I'm fine with both as a matter of principle and because I don't feel like being hypocritical, but... not exactly germane to the show, is what I'm saying.

I had interpreted that as the /co/ community taking countermeasures against the MLP flood -- troll-based countermeasures, yes, but a defensive action rather than the same kind of semiconscious "have to talk about my specific fandom everywhere" motives that bronies seem to pick up.

"Ein bisschen Frieden", many years ago it was the winner of the european song contest.
This here is a cover version. Originally sung by a young woman with a guitar, now played by the fun-metal-band J.B.O.
And with nice pictures by "my little pony".
Oh yes, this weekend the contest starts again.

And What I'm thinking about "My Little Pony"?
Easy, just let me say it in german:
Ein wenig schräg und ein witziger Humor.
Und das ist sehr wichtig, es ist nicht so zuckersüß, es hat nicht diesen übertriebenen Himbeer Sirup Geschmack.
Alle Charaktere haben ihre übertriebenen Macken, und genau deshalb klappt das Zusammenspiel besonders gut.

Have fun with the translation, he, he, he...

Edit:
Dat original song, a little bit of peace 1982

I'm mentally working out an elaborate crossover/mashup with other stuff, swiping some ideas from Jenny's fixfic. (Not sure about keeping Twilight's power level, but the justification she constructed fits perfectly with the framework I'm planning to shove everything into.) Unfortunately, I'm putting most of the stuff I enjoy on the back burner until I'm done with my thesis, and leaving a lot of it there afterward because there's just so much.

Still into poni. This rabbit hole only gets deeper and deeper.

I got myself into a brony meeting a few months ago. I was the only from tumblrpon there (the rest were imageboarders... Imagebronies?) but still I felt like I belonged there more than any other party I have been in. There was just something about burly men and less burly girls watching a kid's show and blasting pony music.

And my tumblr is still going strong.
It's that my homunculus inside my head doesn't even try to understand the outside world. He thinks it's a video game and smashes the buttons at random to find the key where you shoot the lasers.

I'm still into ponies. Sadly, we're in a long dry spell between seasons, and some of the original artists of the Brony community have been slipping away. The way things are looking, the next half-length season will start sometime in November or December.

On the plus side, Jennifer dropped a veritable mountain of pony stories onto Fimfic under the handle Chatoyance. More, even, than I could read.

The initial rush of Pony is over, but the series and the fandom are still healthy.

I just wish Hasbro would learn how to make a decent plushie.

I've finally started reading Jenny's MLP stories. And preordered some decent-looking plushies set to come out in June.

Went through all the rigamarole of making an account on fimfiction.net so I could comment on the stories as I read them... only to find out Jenny left a month ago. T_T I am so far behind the times.
