Pie!

Postby Jennifer Diane Reitz » Wed Jan 28, 2009 3:09 pm

"Hey, Jennifer... you really like pumpkin pie, don't you?"

"it's my favorite, Eldenath. So...?"

"I'm baking you a pie!"

"Mmmmm..... Pie...."

Eldenath likes to do nice things, primarily because she is very, very nice. And sweet. And good to eat.

She knows I am going through hell with my medication withdrawal, and I suspect she is trying to make me feel less horrible by being especially kind and sweet.

So she decided to bake me a pie. I love pie. Much more than cake. And pumpkin is probably my favorite.

Now Eldenath is just incredibly cute when she does stuff like this, so I wanted to capture a little of that feeling and share it with all of you. That's all!

At least there are no Blackbirds flying out of it. Don't burn your mouth, now.

Would be correct if you don't use onions,
but some leek and milk or so.

Nothing like a little spontaneous pie-making to consume a wintry afternoon. It is the middle of winter over there isn't it?

I am not sophisticated enough in the palate area to tell the difference between a leek and an onion, all those scallion-like things pretty much taste the same to me, except for garlic of course. But whatever you call your onion pie, it does look tasty. I assume it's made with lots of eggs?
