Well, if one were to be overly optimistic- and probably not realistic in light of the hints of future dealings we've been given so far, but who knows?- who's to say a triangle is a problem? It's boggled me that there have been no polyamories (polyamorys? is there a plural for that?) in any of Jennifer's work so far. :)

In Unicorn Jelly there was a polyamory between Ogan, Ylla, and Ossperk... but none of them were major characters and the only mention I can find of it was in this. I don't see anything about it in the comic proper.

I can see a major problem if this develops with this crew. Kaye has... issues... and really still doesn't fully respect Pho. Pho is prone to jealous tendencies; recall how he acted when Kaye found Texto -- he felt he had to one-up Texto to regain the #1 spot with Kaye. This Vola is a strong take-charge woman, and that alone would make for problems with a stubborn personality like our Kaye who doesn't want anyone touching "her" command post. Add a love triangle into the mix, and whoof. I do not envy Wai or Texto.

Polyamory among our crew? Er, no. That's the stuff of happily-ever-after stories.

This is a noir suspense story. Need conflict! Tension! Intrigue!

Love triangle. Definitely love triangle.

For a time yes, but I see no reason why it could not end in a Poly.

I wonder, is this story going to end happily, do you think? It's supposedly noir. That means it could have a dark ending. Oh, sure, Kaye may succeed in her plan, but at what cost? There are so many ways things could go badly. So many moving parts that could collide...

And of course, we have seen a ghostly image of things going quite badly indeed...

Yeah, thanks. :) The bit that had me confused was when Vola said "the other you and I." I misread that as referring to a third Vola rather than the speaker, which threw me off...

Is this why the number of splays with splayports is decreasing?

The amount of Splayports is increasing, not decreasing. It used to be 80% Storm and 20% ports, but now it is 78% Storm. At least, at last check in.

The Flux Cap- Oscillation Overthruster will exist, though it might not be installed. If one Splay has it, by the very nature of Splays, other splays will have it. We are talking about what looks like the next door Splay, very close to what we saw, but a little off. And, of course, because THIS Mover Co. ALSO crashed into this splay, they MUST have one. It only makes sense.... probably.

I really try to follow the characters, and listen to them, and so far none of the characters in my stories have been enough like me and my family to want to be part of a polyamory. It's just not something they would do, or need. At least as far as I have seen.

I can tell you that none of them, so far, is polyamory material.

That is odd, come to think of it.

Maybe someday. It actually would be kind of neat, because then I could draw directly on my own life for relationship stuff. I'll just have to wait for some characters to be akin enough, I guess.

Well, considering Tryst = Triangles = Threes, I always did wonder why marriage was a two person relationship.

Did anyone else notice that the dramatically-far-away hangar is painted in a crude image of the Ophanim's maw?

Can we get a number on Vola quotas?

You know, technically... if you look at it... we have a lower number of dead!Volas than anyone else... I think Wai-wai is next down...

Except Only, of course. Cuz there can be only one. (^^>
