Mew! Thankies, 1:06 minutes to the local event. (7 more hours to the true moment of birth)

BTW: I got an espresso machine...

*ties ribbons in the birthday girl's hair*

Here's to decades of deeper happiness in your future.

Would you like some tea? Or cookies?

I'd recommend taking some of both, since I can't remember which I hid the antidote in.

Why, thank you, sir, I think some antidote would suit us both very nicely. It really improves the meal, you know?

*pulls Emily up on her lap, sitting down at the tea-table, pouring both of us a cup, and getting the largest cookie to share between us*

Now, Emmy, remember to tell the nice man "thank you" for including the antidote! That was a very nice present. *pets between her ears*

Say, I don't suppose this tea or cookies would happen to have any... strange effects, or anything like that, do they? I mean, just out of curiosity... *twitches her ear*

Happy birthday, dear <3 ^.^

No, no strange effects that I can recall. Just little chocolatey bits and a slightly sour aftertaste, accompanied by vivid hallucinations and selective panzaism.

Decaf is what you give children, pregnant women, and your enemies.

Actually I've been cutting caffeine intake long term, I just drank a little (A LOT) more than usual getting the hang of using the infernal (as in hot, mild burns on my fingers to prove it) contraption.

Goal is to reduce to one cup in morning, one at lunch, and tea with dinner. When you get to point of drinking it right before bed, your coffee addiction is a bit too far.

Thanks for all the well wishes, this has been one of my happier birthdays in a long while. ^_^

Thirded!

What? Nobody sang you the Hippo Birdie? Hmmph.
As for coffee ... ah, you need to get hold of some of this. Then you'll finally comprehend the full meaning of the phrase "Good ^^^ ".

I never understood Kopi Luwak, I mean I know it's safe (washing the feces and then roasting the beans does that) but it's crazy expensive. It's like drinking ultra fine wines, 9/10 of the time you're better off with the 5 dollar bottle than the 50 or 500, but the extra cost makes you smile because you wasted your money. I absolutely NEVER mix Cafe la Llave espresso grounds with Folgers to create a brew that tastes better than either, no never. The recipe isn't 1:2 expensive to cheap in my drip coffee maker every morning. It just plain isn't the key to my success. ^_-

I agree, if only because I prefer sweet wines to dry, and those are either the cheapo supermarket half-unfermented-grape-juice kind, or the semi-expensive "ice wines" or "dessert wines".

That and I don't drink alcohol all that often, so when I do I go for quality of experience over low price OR high price.
