People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

Took a while to remember, but now all I can think of is the Ziggurats from the Old Times. Poor forum software. It was all "Wait what are you people doing, quotes don't need to nest that BLEAGH". And then weird things happened to the formatting. Good times. (I am not suggesting a return to doing that kind of thing. I don't think it would be feasible or desirable.)

We can't return to that; the new software won't let quotes nest more than (I think) three deep in a post. It simply will not accept the post as valid and will insist you edit it before posting.

One of the forums I admin for automatically strips nested quotes when you hit reply.
