Once again, the UniJel forum has been the place where I learn about a celebrity dying (the first one was Michael Jackson).

I see that they still haven't worked out the exact cause of her death though. Poor dear, she had a lot of stuff going on at the time, I thought she had a chance to get through all this!

The sad part is that it's taken all this media attention for me to realise the obvious: she was a rather talented musician, wasn't she? Oh well, off to the record shop, I guess.



Also I actually had to put that acronym into Google to find out what it meant DERP on my part! People love the ponies!

Yes so it was and this is another cover I made after he died,
the art is by me,
but for copyright reasons I had to remove M.J.'s face.

...Well, they have the results from the toxicology report, and they say that (surprise!) Amy didn't consume any illegal drugs at the time of death. This of course leads to the question of what actually killed her. Theories put forward include alcohol withdrawal (which is unlikely since she did have traces of alcohol in her system), prescription drugs (the statement made by her family only mentioned illegal drugs), and complications from an earlier health issue (emphysema or an eating disorder).

Another thing that bothers me about Amy's passing: almost everyone who I've spoken to about this says that her death came as no surprise, but I disagree; I don't think there was anything inevitable about the way she died. Just because she'd been living a hard and reckless life, doesn't mean that she had to wind up dead at 27!
