Progress on the PDH book!

Postby Jennifer Diane Reitz » Mon Oct 13, 2008 3:03 am

I am currently reviewing the finished PDF of the PDH book. I haven't seen Pastel in like, what, three years of working on To Save Her, so it is like seeing something done by another person; it is all new to me, especially with my medicated and faulty memory.

Wow. I... am impressed. Very. I don't feel that way about... my... work very often at all. Quite the opposite. Right now, in this moment, I am quite taken aback. I want this book. Hardback only. I want it now.

So, very soon, the PDH book will become available to buy from Lulu. It, being really very huge (368 pages, with three full appendixes, additional art, as well as the entire original Kamishibai story included!), and also completely printed in brilliant color, will naturally be rather expensive. About the 90 dollar range. But damn. I mean... damn.

Anyway, that is the status update on the PDH book.

It's wonderful feeling good about stuff. I wish I could hang on to that.

Can we get a pop-up Introitus Chamber centerfold in that puppy?

Oh! And don't forget the *bonus* Helio and Fuchsia paper dolls!

Um... not that I ever play with things like that... er.. :sweatbead:
If this last post seems ridiculous, please disregard it. Thank you. ;)

Will the same offer apply to original "scribbling" (as you put it) for the PDH book? I don't know about everyone else, but I have big love for my UJ book with the giant, wonderful, tear-inspiring picture of Uni inside.

With your recent nerve trouble, I didn't want to assume anything.
Two "Yay"s, one "Hey!" and an essay. Still counting.

I wonder how the pages will look like...
Under every web comic page there is a comment, thoughts and so by Jennifer.
Will she doe the same in the book?
Or will it be an appendix?

Maybe she should plan another book with "The Making Of ... Pastel Defender Heliotrope". ;]

Stephen showed me that the many comments made a world of difference, and were useful and important. So all of them are just one of the many appendixes in the book. Everything is there.
