Lots of his early work reminds me of some of Jenny's more trippy stuff, but I imagine it's in the same way all doodly nerds have bizzare doodles of alternate unvierses in their notebooks.

We are all trapped in a universe factory. How can we escape our minds?

There are all manner of wonderful government-disallowed chemicals that can help with that. ^^

You are merely warping the output. It is much like if you were to replace all the plastic in a car factory with silly putty.

Also you would be able to pick up newsprint.

All silliness and sarcasm aside, ego-death (more info here) is one of the more fascinating/terrifying things that can happen in an intense trip. As the parts of your brain that interact to produce consciousness lose connectivity... well, stuff gets pretty interesting ^^.

The ego is a necessary illusion, like centrifugal force. Without it, various calculations necessary for routine existence cannot be completed in a useful amount of time.
