Forum Style Changes (Jan. 26, 2008)

Jennifer requested a change in the forum style to increase the font size. As you can see, this has been done. The idea is to make it easier to read the text on the somewhat busy backgrounds Jennifer created .

Also, you will find the delete button to the left of the edit button now and with a bit of space between the two. That should help minimize accidentally hitting the delete button when you meant to hit the edit button.

We are working on getting FTP access for Jennifer so she can actively update smilies.

Just so you know, you didn't change the Font Size button in the upper right. After I clicked that the huge text went away.

For me, it cycles to larger and even larger text before going back to large text. Try refreshing your browser to see if that works.

Okay, it's all big now.

Hum, looks like everything is bolded. I think the letters could do with being less blocky. Perhaps a different, thicker font would be a good compromise?

Edit: Guess it isn't bolded. Still, it looks like everyone is shouting.

A font for websites has to be in your system, so there is only a little possibility for a selection
Arial, Verdana, Times New Roman and - Trebuchet as it is here.
All these fonts do have the "bold" problem if they are large enough.
They are to thin or to fat and there is no middle.

It seems a genius typograph has to develope a complete new font which is the best result for this problem.
And I'm not , - it has to be someone who has enough reputation in the view of Microsoft and Apple.

Until this day to come, we have to live and to read with it.

I think it looks good... but it also might just be my new monitor, where everything is so sharp and crisp compared to the blurfest that was my old monitor.

To me it looks like quoted text is bolder and blacker than the main text, checked with opera and firefox.

Shouldn't it rather be the other way round?
