Just for fun, last part

Postby Insand » Sun Apr 10, 2011 4:43 pm

He'd been told "Truth you will find by Chance or Intent. If not, you will wander unknowing, no less free, and no more."   Now, and here, there were multiple doors and from the grey walls curious porticos flared and joining them all were recursive stairs.   Some said they led to Madness, others to Glory.   He'd seen bloody madness in pursuit of glory, and glorious madness in retreat from cherished illusions.   "You risk Corruption Eternal from Works Infernal!" a vagabond plyer of piety shrieked.   He'd rather believe thieves and their tales of crowns of crystal that bled raw gems.   A Villager had said "Look freely at all on display. Leave by the rear and there's no obligation to return, but re-entry through the Courtyard means you have been changed. You may decide to linger among us awhile, and speak of what you have seen, and we may listen.   Many have offered trinkets in the Courtyard of Discourse and many we have never seen again. Where they have gone is of no concern to us or to you Stranger. It is always for you to decide where to leave your footprints in the sand."   Let the wind do what it will to the marks of my passing and the footprints I leave here.

Interesting stuff. What's it an allegory for?

The above inspired the below:

Phantom
Like the electron,
When I turn myself
Completely around
I become my opposite
Like some Hyde
To my Jekyll.
But spin me about
A second time
And I am myself again.
The strange attractor
Of the imaginary I
Draws me with its
Monstrous magnetism.
Am I hurtling forward
To my birth or
Unwinding the clock
Back into the grave?
I have been told
That I am here only
On borrowed time
Spawned from the
Vacuum soup by
Some quantum grace,
And when the sums cancel
It will be just as if
I had never been.

Hello strange_person

See parts one & two, it's all the same thing.

A tribute, a Thank You, a "just for fun" something to do.

A re-imagining of how I accidentally found this place and enjoyment ensued.

I compulsively consumed Unicorn Jelly, then Pastel Defender Heliotrope and lastly To Save Her.

That Jennifer gave all that away touched me, as did the stories.

I don't have much to say, but I wanted to say more than a mere Thanks.

Hello Monocheres

"The strange attractor of the imaginary I draws me with it's Monstrous magnetism."

oh yeah ! ....draws - pulled toward or... I like the idea of being made/depicted by... (!), as well as being "spawned from the vacuum soup by some quantum grace".

I like soup.

Somebody said the brain is a biological quantum hologram. Maybe we're all in the "I" soup together.
